Pi Tau Sigma - ME Honor Society
The Mechanical Engineering Honor Society, Pi Tau Sigma, was established in 1949 to support the mission of the Department of Mechanical Engineering through service activities. Our students, who rank at the top 35% of their junior and senior classes, meet regularly with students and faculty to assess the ME curriculum and propose improvements, establish tutoring sessions for students preparing for the FE Exam, holding fundraisers to support travel to the annual Pi Tau Sigma convention, and promote the ideals of ethics, service, and community outreach. Among the various service activites is the outreach program with the Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School, that they coordinate with the Cooper Motorsports Team.
