Quantum chemistry

Quantum chemistry is the use of first-principles quantum mechanics to study molecules at the atomic level. We are carrying out collaborative research projects to the study of organic and organometallic compounds. Some work has been done in collaboration with chemists at Philadelphia University and Monmouth University. Density functional theory and perturbation theory are used to study bicyclic organic compounds as well as organometallic complexes of chromium and zirconium.
