Engineering Education - Supplemental Information > CEE 2021- APPENDIX D – END OF SEMESTER SURVEY QUESTIONS
Teaching Principles of Biomaterials to Undergraduate Students During the COVID-19 Pandemic with At-Home Inquiry-Based Learning Laboratory Experiments
The end of semester survey consisted of eight questions that were answered on a Likert Scale of “Strongly Agree” to “Strongly Disagree”, with a ninth optional question for soliciting additional comments.
- I felt like I was able to conduct experiments at home.
- I felt like I was able to effectively communicate with my virtual lab group.
- I felt the labs taught me experimental design and data analysis.
- My understanding of metal corrosion, fatigue failure, and metal biomaterial applications was enhanced by this lab.
- My understanding of ceramic porosity, toughness, and ceramic biomaterial applications was enhanced by this lab.
- My understanding of polymer crosslinking, stiffness, and polymer biomaterial applications was enhanced by this lab.
- My satisfaction with this course was enhanced by having at-home experiments compared to theoretical problem sets.
- My overall learning from this course was enhanced by having at-home experiments compared to theoretical problem sets.
- Additional comments and/or feedback.
