Michael Schaff is a machinist, draftsman and industrial designer. Before joining The Cooper Union he worked for 17 years in the semiconductor test, aerospace and contract manufacturing industries. As a supervisor for The Cooper Union, Mr. Schaff teaches the use and methodology of modern manufacturing machines such as CNC control, multi-axis mills, lathes and welders. He also advises students in areas of design and assembly of the various projects assigned them by the engineering faculty.
